Literacy site visit to Montezuma Creek Elementary School

Montezuma Creek Elementary is part of the San Juan School District and built on Navajo Nation tribal land. Some students have to walk miles just to get to a bus stop. Others are living without electricity or running water. But they value the benefits of reading and education and love coming to school. They’re working hard to acquire the literacy
