Lt. Gov. Henderson has been opening her office at the Capitol to meet Utahns. People from all walks of life have shown up to talk issues, get advice and just say hi. This group of high school students wanted to talk all things government and said they can’t wait to vote.

Lieutenant Governor Deidre Henderson met with two members of Congress from Utah. She caught up with U.S. Senator John Curtis in Washington, D.C. and U.S. Representative Blake Moore at the Utah State Capitol. No matter where they meet in the country, these leaders share a commitment to shaping Utah’s future.

Last year we began a citizenship review of all registered voters in Utah. While it is not fully completed, we want to share some preliminary findings. Find them here.

Lieutenant Governor Deidre Henderson spoke to professionals and students for Social Work Day on the Hill. The work they do supports countless Utahns, often on their worst days. Lt. Gov. Henderson expressed the importance of Utah having well-prepared, compassionate social workers in hospitals, schools and public clinics. She also praised their involvement during the legislative session and encouraged them to make

State officials met with educators, business leaders, librarians and others to discuss ways to help our children level up literacy skills. The Lt. Gov. joined authors like Brandon Mull, Ally Condie and Jennifer Nielsen in sharing how reading has benefitted them and how it can do the same for all Utah kids.

The $30.7 billion plan focuses on Utah families and responsible budgeting. Among other funding proposals, the Lt. Governor announced an expansion of the Child Tax Credit, support of the National School Lunch Program and support for Volunteer for Good, a program that provides service opportunities to Utah high school students.
